Firstly, you can use Odoreze™ Natural Drain Odor Eliminator to stop the smell coming from any drain. Dilute the product by mixing 1-2 oz. (1-2 teaspoons) Odoreze™/gallon of water. Then simply pour ¼ - ½ of the diluted product in your kitchen, bathroom or floor drain and toilet at night to allow it to work for a few hours or overnight when drains are not used. Repeat, as necessary, to continue to eliminate ongoing drain odor problems.
For really tough odors, you can increase the concentration by mixing 5-10 oz. (5-10 teaspoons) Odoreze™/gallon of water or even using the concentrate without dilution but do not use this strength anywhere else besides your drain because it could cause staining problems. You may also try pouring a 5% diluted bleach solution between uses (not together) of Odoreze™. This will help kill any bacterial build-up you have and give you better results.
You can also dilute 0.25 oz. Odoreze™/gallon of water and spray it in the air to deodorize and use it to wipe down counters and other hard surfaces. This product is sold as a super concentrate so it will last for a long time. Secondly, I would recommend using Smelleze® Reusable Chemical Smell Deodorizer Pouches to eliminate the airborne drain odor such as those resulting from hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell) or ammonia. For a breath of fresh air, simply place Smelleze® pouches in all rooms or spaces with the bad odor. If you have a HVAC system, you may also place the Smelleze® pouches on your return air vents, and/or in front of the air return duct in your furnace to filter the odors out faster.
Overall, use one pouch for every 150 square feet of area treated and smell the difference. You can use additional pouches for areas with severe odors.
