Thank you for taking time to consult with us about your floor odor out gassing problem. When hardwood floors are treated with polyurethane and/or other similar products, it’s not unusual for some amount of solvent to get trapped during the process. The vapors are then released slowly over time causing odors and indoor air quality problems. You restore clean air in your home by can taking the following corrective action to solve this problem quickly and cost effectively.
Firstly, I would recommend sprinkling Smelleze® Natural Smell Deodorizer Granules on your floor to draw the polyurethane odor out before it’s released into the air. Allow it to work for at least a few hours or overnight. The longer the better. Then simply sweep-up and repeat the treatment, if necessary, until the polyurethane odors are removed.
