The Smelleze® Pouches could have a small amount of dust when you receive it. The dust comes from the odor removal media rubbing against each other during shipping. It can also happen if you shake the bag. This is common occurance with granular natural odor removal media.
The important thing to remember is that the small amount of dust will not affect the product performance nor cause any harm and will be insignificant when Smelleze® Pouches are not shaken.
To minimize the dust, you can just place the Smelleze® Pouches over a garbage can or take it outside and blow on it with a hair dryer although this is not necessary. If you don’t want the dust on your new cabinets, just set the pouches on a small plate or bowl and then place it inside the cabinet or the room. If you hang the pouch, it should not create any more dust if its not shaken.
Please be rest assured that the tiny amount of dust will not affect the ability of Smelleze® Pouches to absorb and eliminate the chemicals such as formaldehyde and the bad odor it causes. It also does not affect the ability to rejuvenate the Smelleze Pouches in a microwave for 2-3 minutes or direct sunlight for a day and to resuse it over and over again. The life span of the product will outlast your problem. The dust is just bit of a nusance problem that can easily be minimized by placing the pouches on a plate after you blow if off.
